Mobile App Design
Bakery2Go is an imaginary bakery in Brooklyn, NY. The dessert item prices range from .99 - $100. The shop is minimalist and clean-lined and features a variety of tea from the world’s major tea regions. They offer moderately sweet desserts and use natural flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and fruits.
The bakery owner recruited my team to create a mobile app to advertise their items to customers on a mobile platform. We want to ensure the app is easy to use to encourage additional usage in the future.

What is the problem?
Mr. Brown is the owner of Bakery2Go. He noticed customers have to wait in long lines in the store. We also saw several bakeries in the surrounding areas had developed an app for their stores, and Mr. Brown would like to compete with them. He wants to see if the app will help increase his sales, improve customer satisfaction rates, and help the bakery staff fill orders quickly.
What is the project goal?

In our interviews with people who said they were very likely to use a service like BakerytoGo app, we were able to identify the following user groups:

Group 1:
Working adults who would like the ability to pick up their orders before arriving to work by 9am during the workweek but are not interesting in baking their own pastries or deserts. These users:
• Tend to live within a two-mile radius of the bakery.
• Often eat deserts at least once a week
• Have additional obligations, interests, or challenges that make it difficult for them to bake their own deserts/pastries.
• Would use an app to place orders while they are “on the go” and pick up the order on their way to work.
Group 2:
Tourist that are visiting the area that would love to take their deserts to go while touring the city. These users:
• Tend to be people from around the world and are unfamiliar with the deserts/pastries at the bakery.
• Vary in age, occupation, and number of family members in their home.
• Would like an app that can translate most non-English languages.
